Supports GOP
Dear Editor:
I am writing in support of our Kosciusko Republican candidates, Cary Groninger for commissioner; and Sue Ann Mitchell, Joni Truex and Kathy Groninger for county council at-large.
Thanks to our local Republican leadership, Kosciusko County has very little debt. The only debt the county has is two bond issues for the TIF districts of Louis Dreyfus and True Point. These paid for infrastructure to attract these two companies. When you include interest and lease payments, the total debt for Kosciusko County is only $63.63 per capita.
Kosciusko County’s property tax rate is the second-lowest in the state. Kosciusko County’s local income tax is the seventh-lowest in the state. The county also has the lowest tax rate of all of our neighboring counties.
Our Republican leadership is working to keep our debt and taxes low, while providing quality services and working on economic development like rural broadband.
Please join me in voting for our entire local Republican ticket. It is important to note that in order to vote for our council at-large candidates you must go down to that section of the ballot and mark each of them individually.
