Stone, Hodges Among ISCA Team Players

INDIANAPOLIS – A unique award is offered by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association, the Top Team Player Award.
Each coach is able to nominate one player as their ISCA Top Team Player for 2020. The player can be from any grade with criteria left up to each member coach.
Much like the All-Region voting, Team Player awards are given per district.
The District 1 boys saw locals Niles Hodges of Wawasee and Andre De Freitas of NorthWood chosen. District 1 girls has NorthWood’s Lili Lomeli and District 2 girls had Warsaw’s Elizabeth Stone honored.
Additional selections for District 1 boys included Bethany Christian’s Avery Rubel, Bremen’s Collin Moren, Elkhart’s German Mendivil, Goshen’s Josh Schrock, John Glenn’s Cayden Heckman, Marian’s Yovani Navarrete, Northridge’s Micah Wieland, Penn’s Colin Smithberger, Plymouth’s Selvin Pagoada, South Bend Adams’ Dimitri Hairston, St. Joe’s Ethan Horvath and West Noble’s Coy Wolheter.
District 2 boys included Columbia City’s Griffin Plaehn, Culver Academy’s Jacob Graham, Rochester’s Zach Pickens and Wabash’s Andrew Dinkins.
Additional selections for District 1 girls included Bethany Christian’s Lily Ortiz-Perez, Culver Academy’s Sam Hazen, Elkhart’s Jessica Dibley, Marian’s Mary Rice, Northridge’s Alex Sheets, Penn’s Mary Kaczynski, Plymouth’s Aubrey Vervynckt, St. Joe’s Claire Chadwell and Westview’s Mary Hostetler.
