Marilyn Sue Williams
Marilyn Sue Williams, formerly of Winona Lake, passed away at 4:25 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, at Otterbein Franklin Senior Life Community in Franklin, at the age of 87.
She was born on Feb. 19, 1933, in Richmond, to Iva Belle (Wantland) Kelly and William Aaron Kelly. On Sept. 13, 1953, she was married to Carl Edward Williams. They raised three children and shared 62 years of marriage together before he passed away on June 16, 2015.
Marilyn attended two years at Indiana University and worked for many years in Personnel at United Telephone Company. She and her late husband were residents of Kosciusko County, since 1970, where they were longtime members of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Warsaw. Marilyn was a member of the Warsaw Tri-Kappa chapter and was a devoted Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for many years, She enjoyed reading and playing Bridge with various groups of friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Sharon Williams, Columbus; grandson: Zachary Williams (Los Angeles, California); and her granddaughter: Kaelin Hanrattie, Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and her two sons, Bradley and Brian Williams.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Marilyn’s life with a graveside service at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, Indiana. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
