SYRACUSE — A van, bringing home five Amish children from their school, collided with a West Noble School bus, taking approximately 20 students back to their school, at approximately 3:05 p.m. today, Monday, Oct. 26. The accident was at US 6 and CR 133, north of Syracuse.
At least two of the Amish children sustained injuries. The extent of the injuries are unknown. No one on the school bus, who appeared to be high school students, were reportedly injured.
Traffic in all directions was shut down until the investigation was complete and the two vehicles removed.
According to one of the parents, the van was southbound on CR 133. Westbound traffic on US 6 was reportedly backed up and the van driver attempted to cross the intersection failing to see the eastbound bus, hitting the driver’s side front.
