Tired Of Trump
Dear Editor,
I’m tired.
I’m tired of President Trump insulting everyone who disagrees with him. I’m tired of Trump supporters bullying Biden supporters. I’m tired of people telling me Christians can’t be Democrats. I can’t believe that Christians who support President Trump can, at the same time, claim to follow the red letters (Jesus’ words) in the New Testament.
I’m also tired of people telling me that Democrats are baby killers. I’m tired of people claiming to be “pro-life” when in fact they’re “pro-birth.” To most of the GOP, there’s more sanctity for life in a woman’s womb than after she gives birth. “Pro-life” means good, affordable maternal and child healthcare; good nutrition; good preschool options; good public education. And no capital punishment.
I could go on. But I think you see my point. I’m tired. So are many other Democrats. And independents. And progressives. And disaffected Republicans. I want it to be over. I want Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Pat Hackett—and Democrats down the ballot—to win on November 3. I want our beloved country to heal.
