Roger William Peterson, 65, Syracuse, passed away at 8:07 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, at Goshen Hospital. He was born on Aug. 15, 1955, in LaGrange, to Robert William and Nancy Lou (Whetten) Peterson.
He graduated in 1973 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse and lived most of his life in the Syracuse and Milford area. He was married on June 19, 1976, in Milford, to Susan K. “Sue” Nyce who survives. He was the owner and operator of Peterson’s Fish in Syracuse and formerly owned Dairy Point in Ligonier.
He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Sonya (Ryan) Taylor of Syracuse; son: Chad (Jill) Peterson of North Port, Ala.; four grandchildren: Ben, Mya, Aubrey, and Madison; two brothers: Rodney “Pete” (Brenda) Peterson of Syracuse and Rick (Anne) Peterson of Ligonier
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Private family graveside services will be in the Milford Cemetery with Pastor Brad Cox officiating.
