Joseph M. Brown
Joseph M. Brown, 66, died Monday, Oct. 26 at Goshen Hospital.
He was born Oct. 8, 1954, in Warsaw to Eugene C. and Irene (Franchitto) Brown.
On July 10, 1982, he married Debra Stump.
She survives along with three children, Wayne Lambert, Jr. and Cynthia (Steve) Miller, both of Goshen and Stephanie (Jerry) Nettrouer II) Guild, Bristol; six grandchildren, Khayla, Trace, Anastacia, Brady, Carter and Arwyn; three great-grandchildren and three siblings, Ed (Lynn) Brown, Lou “Bill” (Vickie) Brown, and Chris (Dan) Slone, all of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Carol Ann.
A 1973 graduate of Warsaw High School, Joe served as a police officer for the Goshen Police Department from 1976 to 2014. He rose to the level of Administrative Adjutant; served as the first grant writer for the department and helped start the Honor Guard Camp with Randy Kantner. He also served as vice president and treasurer for the Elkhart County Drug Free partnership and currently serving on the LCC Board.
Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 30 from 10 to until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Grace Community Church.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
