Barbara Lynn Bowers
Barbara Lynn Bowers passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, in Bonita Springs, Fla. Barbara was born Dec. 2, 1946, in Huntington, to James and Darlene Hamer.
Growing up in Andrews, Barbara was a graduate of Andrews High School in 1964. She lived most of her life in Huntington and eventually moved up to Syracuse to live on Lake Wawasee. She spent her last weeks in Bonita Springs, Florida, enjoying time with family and the warmth of the Florida air.
Barbara did many things during her life and enjoyed many adventures. She spent time volunteering to work at the voting polls, she cross-stitched, she enjoyed spending time at the lake and traveling. Most of all she loved being surrounded by her family.
Barbara is survived by her three children; two sons Bradly Bowers of Bonita Springs, Fla.; Joel (Kathi) Bowers of Carmel; and Nicole Bowers of Winona Lake; grandchildren Lacy Clark, Madilynn Werbianskyj, Natalya Werbianskyj, Jackson Bowers, Wyle Eby and Foster Eby and great-grandchildren Maddox Ingram, Nolan Ingram, and Lane Clark. In addition, she is survived by three brothers Lonny (Norma) Ripplinger, Rhett (Marsha) Ripplinger, Roy (Barb) Hamer, one sister Bonnie (Dave) Hall and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3-7 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Knights of Columbus in Huntington. All friends and family members are welcome and encouraged to come pay tribute to a life well lived and thoroughly enjoyed.
