Milford Library Participating In Town Trunk-Or-Treat
Press Release
MILFORD — Milford Public Library will be participating in the town of Milford’s Trunk-or-Treat.
Trunk-or-Treat will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. Come visit and receive a fun treat from the library vehicle parked in the library’s parking lot.
The library is looking for donations of full-sized candy bars, or a monetary donation, if you prefer. Library staff would love to be able to give each child a full-sized candy bar just like they have in theist. Any donation would be appreciated.
Library Card Sign-Up Month Winners
Every year in the month of September, library staff celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month. The library wanted to do something new and fun to celebrate. Each person who signed up for a new library card in the month of September received a tumbler filled with candy. They also got to put their name into a drawing for a chance to win a $50 gift card.
The library had a total of 20 new patron cards issued for the month of September. Library staff gave away four $50 gift cards. Tucker Beer won a Dollar General gift card, Avery Savage won a Subway card, Tifani Beer won a Texas Roadhouse card and Maggie Kenworthy won a Visa card. The Friends of Milford Public Library provided the gift cards. The library welcomes new patrons year-round. Come in and register for a library card today.
The Power of Positive Thinking
Jackie Franks from Purdue Extension is back with another great virtual program. Positive thinking is important in everyday life. Jackie will provide strategies that can be implemented in daily lives. Provide library staff with your email address at the adult circulation desk; you will be sent the link to view the program, which begins on Monday, Oct. 26, and is available through Saturday, Oct. 31.
