CLAYPOOL — An accident outside Claypool led to one person being taken to a hospital.
The two-vehicle wreck happened about 5 p.m. along CR 450W near the intersection of CR 525S. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Heady said initial reports show that David T. Capps, 59, of Claypool was traveling south on CR 450W in a Ford Edge.
Kathie A. Beery, 71, Claypool, was traveling north on CR 450W in a Honda Pilot. Heady said he believes Capps drifted into Beery’s path and their vehicles collided.
Beery was treated at the scene after complaining of pain in her wrist. Capps was transported to the hospital after complaining of chest pain. He also had a possible shoulder injury.
Along with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Lutheran EMS and Claypool and Burket firefighters also responded to the scene.
