North Webster Library Programs Available Online
News Release
NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster Community Public Library programs are available online.
People just need to visit the library’s website at www.nweb.lib.in.us. On the Local History and Genealogy page, people can access videos of past program speakers.
Some of the presentation speakers include a wounded police officer, a Purple Heart recipient, veterans of World War II and Vietnam War and expatriates sharing about their homelands. There are also videos of the late Tony Strombeck and Gladys Culver talking about their long lives in North Webster. Videos of past Cemetery Walk enactments, dating back to 2009, are available for viewing as well.
For those who are feeling nostalgic, the library’s website can take them down memory lane where they can browse through old North Webster High School yearbooks. Dating back to 1948, the yearbooks have been scanned and posted for viewing along with Wawasee High School yearbooks from 1969 to 1999. The library is seeking donations of North Webster High School yearbooks prior to 1948 to add to its collection.
As the state of Indiana moves into stage five of its reopening plan, North Webster Library has expanded its hours for more convenient access. Hours are now 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The library remains closed on Sunday. For the health and safety of staff and patrons, social distancing and facial masks are expected in accordance to the state mandate.
