Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, Arnolt Drive, near East US 30, Pierceton. Drivers: Keith C. White, 50, Meadowbrook, Haslett, Mich.; and Kathy N. Anderson-Takacs, 80, South CR 600E, Pierceton. White was turning south on to Arnolt Drive when his vehicle crossed the center line, hitting Anderson-Takacs’ vehicle. Anderson-Takacs’ vehicle was stopped and preparing to cross US 30 at the time. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 8:01 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, East US 30, near South SR 13, Pierceton. Drivers: unknown; and Digvijay Singh, 31, Singing Quail Court Apartment 352, Columbia City. Singh was stopped at a stop light while traveling east on East US 30 when he was rear-ended by an unknown vehicle. The driver who caused the damage to Singh’s vehicle fled the scene. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 3:35 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, Main Street, south of Emeline Street, Milford. Driver: Sean M. Ladig, 25, East Robby Drive, Warsaw. Ladig had just turned south onto Main Street when he fell asleep, rear-ending a black Dodge Ram. This impact pushed the Dodge Ram into a Chevrolet Cruze. Both vehicles are registered to Adam R. Allen, Milford. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $100,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 10:06 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, Lake City Highway, near North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Whitney N. Hobbs, 33, West Rochester Street, Akron; Enrique M. Aguirre, 38, North Union Street, Warsaw; and Tyler J. Maggert, 26, East 3rd Street, Mishawaka. Hobbs was traveling south on Lake City Highway when she rear-ended Aguirre’s vehicle. This caused Aguirre’s vehicle to rear-end Maggert’s vehicle. A passenger in Hobbs’ vehicle, Kaizer Hobbs, 7, Akron, complained of chest pain. Damage up to $5,000.
