Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 2:38 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, North Parker Street and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Shaun M. Mudd, 41, Franklin Street, Mentone. Mudd’s vehicle struck a raccoon. Damage up to $2,500.
- 8:46 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, SR 13, Pierceton. Driver: Timothy A. Pequignot, 47, East CR 250N, Pierceton. Vehicle/deer collision. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:24 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, North Detroit Street and East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jason W. Cole, 42, Center Street, Warsaw; and Joanna Palacios, 20, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Cole’s vehicle rear-ended Palacios’ vehicle. Cole was issued a citation for operating while suspended and operating without proof of financial responsibility. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:26 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, SR 15, Warsaw. Drivers: Rachel K. Dempsey, 17, Wooster Road, Pierceton; and Robert A. Burke, 48, South CR 750W, Claypool. Dempsey’s vehicle rear-ended Burke’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, Argonne Road and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael D. Bennett, 64, East CR 450N, Leesburg; and Melissa M. Simpson, 49, West CR 300N, Etna Green. Bennett began to merge into the northbound lane of traffic and his vehicle struck Simpson’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:24 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, West Center Street and South Columbia Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Michel Gotier, 61, Loon Park Avenue, Akron; and Chloe A. Laird, Center Street, Warsaw. Gotier was traveling east on West Center Street, Warsaw, when he did not stop at a stop sign and his vehicle hit Laird’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 1:47 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, Harrison Street north of Sally Street, Warsaw. Driver: Andrew G. Baldridge, 53, Westerner Winds Drive, Warsaw. Baldridge’s vehicle went off the roadway and hit a fire hydrant. Damage up to $10,000.
