WARSAW — Many are familiar with the Churchill family’s annual Christmas light show, which has become a holiday staple for many locals. Now the family is hoping to create a new October tradition as it presents “Nightmare on Ridge Valley Drive,” a Halloween-themed light show.
“We decided to do the show because of COVID,” Adam Churchill said. “With so many activities cancelled, we thought this would be a fun and safe show for families to enjoy.”
Located at 1916 E. Ridge Valley Drive in Warsaw, the “not so scary” light show will run every night during October. Viewers simply tune in to 104.3 FM for the tracks, which include seasonal classics like “This is Halloween,” “Crazy Train,” “Monster Mash,” “Thriller” and the “Ghostbusters” theme song.
“Our neighbor has joined us, and between our two homes, there are around 15,000 synchronized lights along with some special effects,” Churchill shared. “Our Halloween display is smaller than our Christmas display, but it has some special effects and unique differences.”
Light show hours are from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 7:30-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1-31. For those eagerly awaiting the Christmas light show, mark your calendars: It will run through Nov. 27-Jan. 3.
