Warsaw 3, Fairfield 0
Warsaw earned a quality non-conference win on the road Tuesday night, beating the Falcons 25- 22, 25-16, 22-19 at the Falcon’s Nest.
Warsaw (19-8) collected 38 total team digs, led by Kylie Smith’s 10 and Liz Schmidt’s six. The Tigers also had 38 kills on the night, with at least six athletes with at least four, Melaina Hawblitzel and Kennedy Lauck both finishing with seven. Avery Hales had 33 assists, five blocks, two digs and an ace and Cora West added four digs and two aces.
Warsaw’s JV started the night with a 25-20, 25-16 win over the Fairfield juniors. Jael Namfukwe posted eight dits, two kills and an ace while Delaney Silveus had five digs, three aces, three kills and a block.
The Fairfield freshman side rallied to knock off Warsaw 25-24, 16-25, 15-11. Megan Silveus had 17 digs, Claire Reichenbach had 11 assists, Olivia Devenney had six kills and Leah Henderson added four aces for the Tigers.
Pioneer 3, Triton 2
Pioneer won the Hoosier North Athletic Conference outright Tuesday by rallying past Triton 25-19, 15-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-12 at the Trojan Trench.
Pioneer moved to 7-0 to cap a perfect run, while Triton was hoping for a tie in the standings after losing to North Judson earlier in the season. The Trojans sit at 4-2 with a game against Caston left.
Stat leaders for Triton (16-7) included Emma Hepler with 28 assists and 10 digs, Abbey Viers and Addyson Viers each with 10 kills, Lexia Hostrawser with eight kills and three blocks and Molly McFarland with 20 digs.
The Pioneer JV defeated Triton 25-22, 25-20.
