David Wayne Tuttle passed away after a courageous battle of ongoing health problems at the University of Chicago on Thursday morning, Sept. 24, 2020, with his loving wife by his side. He went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ at the age of 55.
David was born on Aug. 31, 1965, in Plymouth, Indiana to Richard Lamar Tuttle and Ann Marie (Harrell) Tuttle. Growing up he resided in Argos, Indiana, where he graduated in the class of 1983. David married Debra Ann Castleman on March 30, 1985, and they have four children together.
In his younger years, David enjoyed playing baseball and excelled at playing basketball in high school. David was a proud employee of Dean Foods in Rochester, for many years.
He had a passion for tinkering with classic cars and attending car shows. He loved riding motorcycles and had several over the years. He enjoyed making wooden gifts for his children and grandchildren. More than anything, he wholeheartedly enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ann Tuttle; brother, Barry Lynn Tuttle; and father-In-Law, Robert Bradway. Surviving is wife, Debra Tuttle, of Rochester; daughter Daylene Byers and husband Brett, of Rochester; son, Scott Tuttle and wife Samantha, of Rochester; son, Robert Tuttle and girlfriend Missy Golden, of Rochester; daughter, Lacee White and husband Damien, of Lakeville; sister, Rose Krull and companion Dan Mishler of Rochester; sister, Dede Crum and husband Jeff, of Culver; Brother, Rich Tuttle, of North Manchester; and Mother-In-Law, Carol Bitterling and husband Alan, of Rochester. David leaves behind six wonderful grandchildren whom he adored: Brayden Byers, 13; Alivia Byers, 10; Eres Tuttle, 6; Easton Tuttle, 3; Wesley White, 1; and Callen Byers, 1. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at Riverview Community Church 3780 IN-110, Tippecanoe, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29.
