Louise Meek, 99, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24 at her home.
She was born August 7, 1921, in New Paris to Samuel Guy and Lydia Florence (Rowdabaugh) Morehouse.
Louise graduated from Milford High School and completed courses at Fort Wayne International Business College and Manchester College, now known as Manchester University.
She was employed as a secretary at Milford High School, the Free Methodist Publishing House, Manchester College, and the Church of the Brethren Headquarters in Elgin, Ill. She also assisted Dan West in Heifer Project International.
On Nov. 15, 1958, she married J. Edwin Meek in Milford. Together they had two children, Lorraine K. (Kevin) Roth and Sharon A. (Loren) Vannest, and two grandchildren.
Also surviving are siblings John, Eldon and Dean Morehouse.
Louise was a life-long member of New Salem Church of the Brethren.
Calling will be Sunday, Sept. 27, from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Rev. Tim Yoder will officiate. Facial masks are required for the visitation and service.
A private burial will take place at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
