Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 9:23 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, East CR 400S and Country Club Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Heather Castro-Rosas, 20, Indian Trail, Warsaw; and Jenny A. Stofer, 38, West CR 300S, Warsaw. Castro-Rosas said she began to make a left turn on Country Club Road and did not see Stofer’s vehicle due to the corn. Castro-Rosas pulled onto County Club Road and her vehicle was struck by Stofer’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, SR 14, Claypool. Drivers: Shelby N. Simonsen, 27, Clear Creek Trail, North Manchester; and Tyler J. Woods, 20, 3rd Street, Fort Wayne. Simonsen was traveling north on Packerton Road and did not see Woods’ vehicle coming from the west on SR 14. Simonsen’s vehicle entered the path of Woods’ vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:32 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ed Fields, 61, Warren Drive, Warsaw; and Stacey M. Crew, 31, Fascination Way, Cromwell. Fields said he had pulled into the south drive-thru lane at McDonalds and realized that lane was closed so he began to back up, intending to move over to the open drive-thru lane. As he was backing up, his vehicle struck Crew’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:19 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, CR 250E, south of Corridor Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Timothy G. Lambert, 59, Dundee Drive, New Haven; and Jesse W. Poe, 39, North CR 325E, Warsaw. Lambert stated he was maneuvering through curves when his vehicle’s trailer collided with Poe’s vehicle. Poe stated he was traveling south on CR 250E when Lambert’s trailer crossed the center line. Damage up to $50,000.
