Here’s Your Chance To Support Local Journalism
By Dan Spalding
InkFreeNews
WARSAW – InkFreeNews – Kosciusko County’s only digital news outlet – started nearly six years ago and has done what few online media outlets have succeeded in doing on a grassroots level: providing readers in a competitive news environment with a new choice that delivers information with a sense of immediacy.
In that time, InkFreeNews has re-ordered the options available in Kosciusko County and surrounding counties for people who are intent on keeping up with what’s happening.
Our office in Warsaw is home to three reporters, an editor, an advertising representative and a news clerk/receptionist who work together to continue providing breaking news, crime, obituaries and politics as well as local sports and features about people and groups in our community.
I believe InkFreeNews has grown and matured in recent years and established itself as the first place people turn to for breaking news. In an era where newspapers are folding and all media groups are feeling challenged, InkFreeNews continues to serve the community without interruption.
Many of you have been with us from the beginning and we appreciate your readership, your news tips and even your criticisms.
But let’s face it, all of our lives have changed dramatically with the arrival of the pandemic. Everyone has had to adapt, and our news coverage has evolved to meet the new challenges.
We know not everyone can afford to invest in local journalism at this time, and we salute those businesses in our community that have helped us bring you exclusive local reporting. We are asking anyone who reads us regularly and who values our coverage to consider supporting us with a monthly or one-time contribution.
It’s important to note that all contributions stay in the community, and you can change or cancel your payments at any time. Our goal is to continue providing free coverage, with no paywalls or restricted content.
If you are able, please consider a contribution to help us continue our mission to provide critical information to everyone in north-central Indiana.
Thank you for reading and sharing our stories, sending us your news tips and giving us feedback.
As always, we’re grateful for your support!
