WARSAW – Young and old alike looking for something interesting to do this weekend may want to check out the water circus in Warsaw.
Cirque Italia brings its water circus to the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds with shows going through Sunday. The circus features aerialists, contortionists, clowns and more.
What sets the circus apart is the 35,000 gallons of water flowing around the stage areas.
On-site media representative and performer Abbey Lawley said the shows offer visitors a chance to relax in what’s been a difficult year for many.
“Especially with everything that’s going on at the moment, we want them to sit back, relax and enjoy the incredible show,” she said. “As a circus family, we are very family-oriented so that’s what we like to bring into the show so families can come and enjoy it all together.”
This is the second or third time Cirque Italia has performed in Warsaw, said Lawley.
The unit performing is known as the company’s gold unit, and it’s the last stop in Indiana before they head to Ohio, she said.
She noted COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place. All spectators older than age 3 must wear face coverings. Attendees will be spaced out in seats and the company is doing extra cleaning.
Tickets range from $10-40 with the company offering a free child ticket with every adult ticket purchased in certain seating areas by using the promo code FACEFREE. Child tickets are for those age 2-12.
Tickets may be purchased at cirqueitalia.com/tickets and be clicking on the Warsaw location. Showtimes may be found there. People also may call (941)-704-8572 or visit the ticket booth at the fairgrounds opening at 10 a.m. each day.
