Magical Meadows Hosting Virtual Fundraising Through September
News Release
WARSAW — Magical Meadows, a place where those with physical, mental or emotional challenges, and their families, can experience the healing power of horses. A virtual fundraising event was held Saturday, Sept. 12, but the fundraising efforts will continue through the end of September.
Back in March, Magical Meadows made the decision to postpone their “Rise Up” event in the hopes that the pandemic would clear up by this fall. Unfortunately, the situation remains unsure, limiting the ability to hold an in-person event.
Magical Meadows relies on the Rise UP event to raise a significant portion of their yearly budget. The group has survived the past six months through the generosity of supporters but are asking the community to consider donating to help Magical Meadows continue to provide opportunities for healing.
The organization is a not for profit. While it charges rider fees for those it serves, these fees are minimal and do not cover expenses. To help keep the doors open it is hosting a virtual fundraising event in place of it’s annual fundraising dinner. The dinner was cancelled due to COVID-19.
The hope is to raise $75,000 for monthly costs, a new hay barn and a security system. The fundraiser will continue through the end of September. All donations are tax deductible.
The business of life makes falling into a day-to-day routine easy. Work, eat, sleep, repeat. People learn to break up this routine by going on vacation, going out for a meal, or working out at the gym. These activities help people heal, add texture to lives, and make the monotony of the day-to-day routine worth it.
Most find it easy to find this healing, but getting away can be difficult for those facing physical, developmental, or social challenges. That’s why Magical Meadows needs the public’s help.
Supporting Magical Meadows will help it continue to provide a place to get away for those in the community who face unique challenges. By getting away from the noise of the city, getting into nature and connecting with horses, the people it serves find physical, mental and social healing.
Did you know that a $335 donation supports a rider for one month? A $4,000 donation supports a rider for one year.
Magical Meadows is asking the public to consider rising up and donating. The generosity of the public helps those in the community with challenges find a place to heal.
