Jason Wayne Stromatt
Jason Wayne Stromatt of Warsaw, passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, at his residence at the age of 45.
He was born on Jan. 27, 1975, in Brooke, Indiana to Cheryl Lynn (Burke) Minnick and James Junior Stromatt. On Oct. 1, 2016, he was married to Teresa Gail (Herendeen) Stromatt, who survives.
Jason was a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 40 years where he was a 1993 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He was a hard worker, great with his hands and had the mindset for understanding and building things. He worked as a private building contractor and as a roofer for Steve’s Roofing in Warsaw until his passing. Jason was an honorary member of the American Legion Post 258 in Pierceton. He had many favorite pastimes, but he had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson. When he was able to, he would enjoy nice long rides and simply enjoy the sun and wind. He also loved to express himself through his many tattoos. He was running out of space on his arms but he could always find room for one more. His love for his family gave him the greatest joy and he dearly adored his grandchildren. Jason had a lot of life yet to experience and share with his family, but sadly his heart gave out before he was ready to go and he will be dearly missed and forever loved by his family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Teresa Gail Stromatt, Warsaw; son: Jacob Stromatt, Warsaw; and his two grandchildren: Jackson and Harley Stromatt. He also leaves behind his brother: Adam Stromatt, Pierceton; mother: Cheryl Lynn Minnic, Warsaw; and father and step-mother: Junior and Debra Stromatt, Clarks Hilt. He was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon Dungan.
The family invites friends to come visit and share memories from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, at His Presence Worship Center, 5179 E. Old Road 30, Pierceton. Jason’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service following the visitation at 7 p.m. and officiated by Pastor Roger Miller.
