Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, West CR 1350N, east of North CR 200W, Milford. Driver; Matthew Brace, 28, Chicago Street, Syracuse. Brace’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 4:23 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, East Northshore Drive, east of North Shore Lane, Syracuse. Driver: Justin Stookey, 26, Wawasee Circle, Cromwell. The side mirror of Stookey’s vehicle struck a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk. Damage under $750.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 6:21 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 132 S. Main St., Milford. Driver: Angela Hernandez, 62, CR 1250N, Milford. Hernandez struck a parked vehicle registered to Carol Martin, Warsaw. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:04 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, CR 950W and CR 1350N, Nappanee. Drivers: Doris Moore, 71, Cassell Avenue, Mishawaka; and Angela Slabaugh, 17, Shumaker Drive, Bremen. Moore told officers she “gunned it” to cross CR 1350N, but was struck by Slabaugh’s oncoming vehicle. Damage up to $50,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 7:44 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 1201 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Driver: Jill Hawn, 46, Second Street, Ligonier. Hawn’s vehicle struck a parked vehicle. The owner of the parked vehicle was not included in the accident report information. Damage up to $2,500.
- 5:26 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, South Huntington Street, north of East Bowser Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Autumn Belle Replogle, 26, Boston Street, Syracuse; and Nathan Barker, 43, Graceland Court, Goshen. Belle Replogle’s vehicle rear-ended Barker’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
- 2:39 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, South Huntington Street, south of West Pittsburgh Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Elizabeth Reyna, 22, East CR 200N, Warsaw; and Alex Steele, 23, SR 13, Pierceton. Reyna told officers that while driving she looked down, causing her vehicle to strike Steele’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 10:11 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, East Center Street and North Hickory Street, Warsaw. Driver: Joshua Miller, 29, Grant Street, Warsaw. Miller’s vehicle had stopped for traffic on the railroad tracks when the railroad signal activated for an oncoming train. When Miller moved his vehicle off the railroad tracks, the railroad stop arm had already come down on his vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 6:36 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, South Cleveland Street and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Emma Brabender, 18, Heritage Way, Goshen; and Robert Castle, 58, Colfax Street, Warsaw. Brabender drove her vehicle through a red light and struck Castle’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 2:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, US 30 and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Juan Ramirez, 59, Center Street, Warsaw; and Penny Krueckeberg, 56, EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton. Ramirez’s vehicle rear-ended Krueckeberg’s vehicle. Ramirez received citations for operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility and operator never licensed. Damage up to $2,500.
- 9:03 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, Eagle Street, east of Union Street, Warsaw. Driver: Francis Sexton, 17, Logan Street, Warsaw. Sexton’s vehicle struck the rear of a parked trailer registered to Mark Poling, Warsaw. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:59 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2211 E. Center St., Warsaw. Drivers: Kimberly Mccord, 34, Krista Lane, Winona Lake; and Lyle Best, 65, Lovetts Lane, Warsaw. Mccord’s vehicle struck Best’s vehicle in the parking lot. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:33 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 1000 Husky Trail, Warsaw. Driver: Brian Lipscomb, 42, Monroe Street, Chicago. Lipscomb’s vehicle rear-ended a parked vehicle registered to Darron Peddle, Warsaw. Damage up to $1,000.
- 1:21 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 3358 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Robert Decker, 65, Edgewood Street, Aliquippa, Penn. While driving through the drive-thru, Decker’s vehicle struck a speaker. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:23 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, SR 15, south of East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Tyler Barber, 18, Laurien Court, Warsaw; and Nicholas Clampitt, 17, Autumn Trail, Warsaw. Barber’s vehicle rear-ended Clampitt’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:21 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, West Winona Avenue, east of South Columbia Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Austin Slone, 18, EMS C29A Lane, Warsaw; and Zachary Hodge, 18, Manns Road, Claypool. Both vehicles entered the eastbound lane of West Winona Avenue at the same time, causing the collision. Damage up to $2,500.
- 3:14 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, East Center Street and North Park Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Keshia Hurd, 28, Hepler Drive, Warsaw; and Elisa Idlewine, 63, CR 1400N, Alexandria. Hurd’s vehicle rear-ended Idlewine’s vehicle which was slowing for traffic. Damage up to $5,000.

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 5:46 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, CR 100E and SR 14, Akron. Driver: William C. Gannon, 46, Akron. Hit deer.
Marshall County
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
- 1:21 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, US 31 south of Kenilworth Road, Argos. Driver: Harold Scott Handy, 43, Kokomo. Handy was flown to Memorial Hospital for treatment. Handy’s vehicle was southbound on US 31 when it traveled into the median, rolled and came to rest in the right-hand driving lane of US 31, northbound facing north.
