Trump And Poli Sigh
Dear Editor,
Regarding comments in last weeks Poli Sigh (by Dan Spalding):
I am troubled by comments regarding the President that your column stated as facts that, in actuality, were not correct or factual. The first was that the President is anonymously reported to have called military veterans “losers and suckers,” as reported in the Atlantic. The story is bogus. I am surprised that your publication would print so-called news from anonymous sources, as fact. I am disappointed your column found substance in anything submitted by an “anonymous” source. Unnamed sources are not credible or valid.
Additionally, the column stated the President suggested that voters in North Carolina illegally “vote twice.” Even left-wing Scopes says, “the President’s stated goal was to ensure people’s ballots get counted, not to elicit double voting.”
Hopefully, in the future, Poli Sigh is not continually used to take every opportunity to paint our President in a negative light. Doing so diminishes your objectivity.
Dan, you are a talented writer and reporter. I look forward to your column every week, written as an accurate, fun, and newsy site, generally written about local people and events.
Thank you for allowing me to share my perspective.
