LEESBURG — A Michigan man died in a single-vehicle accident in Leesburg on Thursday night, Sept. 10.
At 8:55 p.m., Plain Township Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle accident in front of 4763 N. SR 15, Leesburg.
Preliminary results of the investigation show that Isaac David Wyatt, 25, of Colon, Mich, was traveling south on SR 15 in a 2002 Buick Regal. For unknown reasons, Wyatt’s vehicle crossed into the northbound lane, overcorrected and then exited the west side of the roadway.
The Buick then struck a utility pole and came to rest on its top. Wyatt was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office. Several vehicles at the Lucky 7 Car Store were damaged as a result of the collision. Wyatt was the sole occupant of his vehicle.
This crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Fatal Team.
Also assisting at the scene were the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Warsaw Police Department, Lutheran EMS and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
