NorthWood 3, Plymouth 2
The Northern Lakes Conference matchup between the two clubs went the distance as NorthWood defended The Pit with a 15-25, 25-18, 25-21, 19-25, 15-13 marathon with Plymouth.
Kendal Miller again led the charge, recording 20 digs and 29 assists while Alea Minnich had 12 kills. Alana Lehman and Ella Gongwer combined for 10 blocks, Ali Knepp had nine kills and Bre Wise posted 17 digs.
NorthWood improves to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the NLC.
Goshen 3, Wawasee 1
The night started well for Wawasee, but fell apart in a loss at Goshen. The hosts fell to Wawasee 26-24 in game one, but rallied with a 25-14, 25-18, 25-22 scoreline.
Kai Jamora led Wawasee with 24 digs and Amanda Allen sent up 32 assists. Leslie Vazquez added nine kills and six blocks, and Delaney Hare sent over three aces.
“Belief is the hardest skill to teach, but the most important part of volleyball if we can learn to believe, we can be dangerous,” noted Wawasee head coach Jeff Phillips.
Wawasee’s JV rolled to a 25-15, 25-14 win. Zoe Taylor and Laney Gross combined for 14 kills and Emma Young had 14 assists in the win.
Wawasee falls to 8-4 overall and 0-2 in the NLC.
