Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 5:52 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, East SR 14, east of South CR 700E, North Manchester. Driver: Kayce Sims, 17, CR 700E, Pierceton. Sims’ vehicle struck a sign. Sims then overcorrected, causing her vehicle to go off the roadway and roll into an embankment. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:31 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, North CR 650E, south of East CR 800N, North Webster. Driver: Cassidy Elder, 17, CR 500N, Leesburg. Elder accidentally struck the center console shifter while driving, causing her vehicle to go into a neutral position. When she shifted back into drive mode, she lost control of her vehicle which ran off the roadway, struck a fence and came to rest on its passenger side. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 8:19 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 324 Lakeland Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Dalton Letner, 22, Lakeland Drive, Warsaw. Letner was backing his vehicle out of a parking spot. He told officers his brakes malfunctioned and his vehicle struck a parked vehicle registered to Mrudang Patel, Warsaw. Damage up to $10,000.
- 2:48 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, SR 15, north of Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Allison Ceballos, 19, Pike Shore Drive, Warsaw; and Kimberly Burkett, 37, Widaman Street, Winona Lake. Ceballos’ vehicle rear-ended Burkett’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, SR 15, south of Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Keagan Larsh, 19, Woodland Trail, Warsaw; and Janice Beard, 71, Old Road 30, Warsaw. Larsh’s vehicle rear-ended Beard’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Fulton
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 3:31 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, SR 25 and CR 300N, Rochester. Driver: Donald J. Bradley, 20, Rochester. Hit deer.
