Meet Warsaw’s Newest Mural Artist On Sept. 10

WARSAW — Warsaw is receiving a new mural as part of the Northeast Regional Partnership “Make It Your Own” Mural Fest.
The Mural Fest lasts for 11 days and involves 11 counties, including Kosciusko. The event will run from Sept. 8 through Sept. 18.
A “Meet the Kosciusko County Artist” event will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sept. 10, in the parking lot of The R Group Realty, 220 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
A short presentation will take place at 5:15 p.m. The site of the future mural is 212 S. Buffalo St. The event, which is open to the public, will include music, food and children’s art activities.
Masks will be required if safe space distancing requirements cannot be maintained.
For each of the 11 counties, there has been an organization identified as the lead for the project. The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau is the lead organization for Kosciusko County.
The local steering committee consists of Jill Boggs, Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau CEO; Suzie Light, former CEO of the Kosciusko County Community Foundation; Rob Parker, Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce CEO; Justin Taylor, Warsaw Assistant City Planner; Melodie Koher, president of Lakeland Art Association; Sea Grandon, representing Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation; and Jo Paczkowski, Kosciusko County Tourism Commission member.
