Bremen 4, NorthWood 1
The Lions made the trip down U.S. 6 to take on NorthWood in a non-conference contest in Nappanee. It proved to be well worth their while as Bremen dominated their hosts, winning four of the five varsity matches.
NorthWood ace Ben Vincent was the only Panther to put one in the win column, taking down Carson Miller in three sets. Other than that, NorthWood couldn’t come out on top in a single set, with Brady Chupp and Treyton Martin losing in the two and three singles contests respectively and the duos of Gage Gongwer/Chaz Yoder and Brad Demitruk/Isaac Roberts falling in similar fashion.
In the junior varsity portion of the evening, NorthWood managed to come out on top in eight of the 11 matches.
The loss drops the Panther varsity to 0-3 on the young season. NorthWood will be back on their home courts beginning at 4:45 p.m. this Tuesday when they host their NLC rivals from Concord in a match postponed from last Thursday due to weather.
