Wawasee 185, Fairfield 219, Elkhart 220
The Lady Warriors came out hot in a three-way non-conference matchup with two Elkhart County schools. Four Wawsaee golfers finished Maxwelton’s front nine in under 50 strokes: Tate Cowan with a round of 42; Taylor Cripe, 46; Izy Losee, 48; and Rylee Firestone, 49. In fact, they were the only golfers from any school to come in under the half-century threshold.
Losee’s round was a career best, as was the non-scoring 57 shot by Ayla Torres.
Wawasee will be back on their home course at 5 p.m. this Wednesday in an NLC three-way matchup with Plymouth and NorthWood.
NorthWood 172, Goshen 211, Northridge 244
The Lady Panthers earned two wins in the NLC with a runaway round at Black Squirrel.
Cybil Stillson again led the way for NorthWood (2-1 NLC) with a two-over 37, far and away the top round of the meet. Teammate Riley Kitson took the role of Robin and shot a 43 for second overall and Bre Goss was one back at 44. Abbie Richner provided the fourth score at 48.
Briza Tayagua-Delgado led Goshen (2-2) with a 47 and Karisa Dyer had a 53 for the Raiders (0-4).
John Glenn Girls 199, Knox 270, Triton N/S, LaVille N/S
The normally short-handed Triton golfing ladies were even more so on Monday afternoon as Maddie Ritchner was a scratch from the four-way contest with two Hoosier North Athletic Conference foes and John Glenn from the Northern Indiana Conference.
The two remaining Lady Trojans, Lilly Hubert and Haley Rensberger, fired a 65 and 68 respectively on the par-36 front nine at Swan Lake Black in Plymouth.
John Glenn’s Megan Kobelt earned medalist honors with a strong round of 44.
