ATWOOD — At least four people were taken to a local hospital following a two-vehicle accident on US 30.

Just before 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, Atwood Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of US 30, near CR 800W. The accident involved a gray truck and a white van. The van rolled over due to the accident, causing heavy damage to the vehicle and a one-way sign.

The extent of the drivers’ and passengers’ injuries is unknown at this time.

Etna Township Volunteer Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police assisted at the scene.
