Plan On Attending Tippecanoe Valley Sports Events? Here Are The Protocols.
Press Release
AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation recently announced its procedures for attending athletic events for the upcoming school year.
With limited capacity, social distancing and cleaning requirements due to COVID-19, information will be provided weekly for event-specific protocols. All sales including student all-sports passes and resale tickets are final. No refunds will be given, according to a news release from the school district.
For the week of Aug. 17, masks will be required upon entry into the facility at Smith-Bibler Memorial Field.
Seating at bleachers will be limited. Standing at the fence will be permitted if social distancing is followed and/or masks are worn. The student section will be located at the north end zone with separate bleachers for each class.
Separate gates will be open for home and away spectators. Tippecanoe Valley fans will enter through the north gate, with visiting fans entering from the south gate. Concession stands will be open at both the main gate and press box locations. Restrooms will be monitored to prevent congregating and standing lines. Portable restrooms are available for events.
For this week’s football game versus Culver Military Academy, capacity will be limited at 600 per bleacher side. Tickets allowed for sales at the gate will be released on Friday mornings for home football games.
Athletes on a varsity football and varsity cheer roster, as well as band parents, will take priority when considering admittance for home football events. Parents of each group (varsity football, varsity cheer and pep band) will be given the opportunity to purchase pre-sale tickets (two per household) for home football games on Tuesdays that week. Tickets will be purchased at the regular ticket price.
Pre-sale tickets for CMA will go on sale on Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the athletic office and will conclude at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. TVHS students may also purchase their all-sports passes at this time.
