Ernie C. Good
Ernest “Ernie” C. Good, 92, Warsaw, formerly of Etna Green, passed away surrounded by his family at 7:36 p.m. , Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020, at Paddock Springs Health Campus, Warsaw, where he had been a resident since Dec. 26, 2019. He was born May 4, 1928 in Jackson, Mich. to Alva J. and Fayetta (Wilson) Good. On Aug. 13, 1955, he married Virginia Marie Gustin in Scipio Twp.
Mr. Good has lived in this area since 1961. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Ernie had worked as a communication maintainer for Western Union and CSX Railroad. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Church, where he had served as Janitor for 20 years. Ernie enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Virginia Good; sons, Calvin (Terrie) Good Jr., John O. (Denise) Good, both of Warsaw; grandchildren, Brenna (Aric) Goshert, Leesburg, Tyler Good, Dallas, Texas, Justin (Kelly) Bowers, Camp Pendleton, Calif., Heidi (Michael) Fussle, Warsaw, Wesley (Lyssa) Bowers, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; great grandchildren, Beau and Evan Goshert, Natalie and Luke Bowers, Ethan, Dillon and Logan Fussle, Apollo Bowers; and sister, Jennetta (Carl) Housted, Sherwood, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Holtsberry and brothers, Jack, Alva, and Charles Good.
Family and friends may call from 5 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee and for 1 hour prior to the Funeral Service, which will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Mt. Tabor Church of God. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery with Military Graveside services by Nappanee American Legion.
