Kosciusko County Reports Four New COVID-19 Cases

WARSAW — Between noon Tuesday, Aug. 11, and noon Tuesday, Aug. 13, the Kosciusko County Health Department reported a total of four new COVID-19 cases. This brings the county’s total number of reported cases to 876, with 12 deaths.
KCHD has also created a virtual booklet to provide COVID-19 related guidance and information for schools, parents, students and staff.
Currently, 727 Kosciusko County residents have recovered from COVID-19. Seven cases are hospitalized active cases, with 130 classified as active. A “hospitalized active case” consists of any active cases that are currently or have been hospitalized at all during their illness. However, consistent with non-hospitalized cases, once their 21-day active period is completed, they are considered recovered.
Statewide, the latest posting on the Indiana State Department of Health website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 2,906.
The total positive number of COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 78,632. More than 886,000 Hoosiers have been tested for COVID-19.
Locally, Whitley County has 162 positive cases, Fulton County has 175 positive cases, Wabash County has 180 positive cases and Marshall County has 805 positive cases. Noble County has 717 positive cases and Elkhart County has 5,051.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 7,952 positive cases, which is up from 7,742 reported on Wednesday, Aug. 12; Allen County has 4,161 positive cases; and St. Joseph County has 3,766 positive cases.
Marion County, which includes Indianapolis, has the most cases in the state at 16,437, which is up from 16,194 reported on Wednesday.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 1,774,000 people in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
