Linda L. Kelly, 80, formerly of rural Akron, passed at 3:45 am, Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw, Indiana.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1940, in Michigan to the late Lonnie and Elizabeth (Stine) Hopkins. She married on Sept. 28, 1963, in Chicago, Ill. to William N. Kelly, who preceded her in death on May 9, 2011.
In years past she and her husband were members of the Moose Lodge of Rochester. She enjoyed playing bingo and gambling at Blue Chip Casino. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Douglas and wife Erin Kelly, Wapakoneta, Ohio and grandchildren Rashel and husband Brian, Brittany and husband Aaron, Brooke and husband Eugene, Ethan, Curtis and wife Natasha, and Rick; Victor and wife Susan Kelly, Sarasota, Fla., and grandchildren Jimmy and partner Sarah, Allison and husband Rocky, and Phillip and wife Caitlin; and William and wife Kay Kelly, Leesburg and grandchildren Matt and wife Abbey, and Cortnee and husband Chad; great-grandchildren, Noah, Laci, Carson, Cooper, Dawson, Logan, Jaylynn, Carter, Aydin, Teddy, Kellen, Madelynn, Benton, Finn, Grey, C.J., and Jason; sisters Reta Bahney, Lorraine Thompson, Eleanor Fetrow Bailey, and a brother Dwayne Hopkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Kelly, and a sister Sandra Mitchell.
A funeral service will take place at 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 16, at Hartzler Funeral Home 305 West Rochester Street Akron, with Pastor Danny Honeycutt officiating.
The interment will take place following the service in the Akron Cemetery, Akron, Indiana.
Visitation hours will be from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 16, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 West Rochester Street Akron.
Masks will be required for all in attendance for the services for Mrs. Kelly.
