Edward Morris
Edward Morris, 94, Warsaw, passed away Aug. 4, 2020, at Mason’s Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw. On October 12, 1925, Ed was born to Cleve and Eva (Farley) Morris in Paragon, Ky.
Ed was an avid gardener and especially liked to grow tomatoes. His real passion was farming and hunting deer, rabbit, and squirrel. Ed was a farmer for most of his life also owning his own saw mill. On Oct. 22, 1946, he married Edna Mavis Lawson. The two were wed for sixty years before Edna passed away on Feb. 11, 2007.
The memory of Ed Morris will be cherished by his sons, Alvin D. (Wendy) Morris, Argos, Indiana, Billy R. (Judy) Morris, Searcy, Arkansas, Richard D. (Martha) Morris, Dowling, Michigan, Gary W. Morris, Warsaw, Indiana, and Michael E. Morris, Colorado; one daughter, Marjorie A. Ellert, Fort Wayne, Indiana; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 10-11 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, with services beginning at the conclusion of calling. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate and burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester.
