Michael L. Egolf
Michael L. Egolf, 74, Nappanee, passed away at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at South Bend Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 1, 1945, in Warsaw to Martin and Dalores (Collins) Egolf. He was a lifelong area resident. Michael was a 1963, graduate of Nappanee High School. On June 29, 1974, he married Donna Dumph.
She preceded him in death April 21, 2017. Michael served in the Airforce during the Vietnam War. He had worked at Coppes Kitchens. Michael was a quiet guy who loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching his garden grow, and all things basketball. He also had a love of history, especially when it came to the city of Nappanee and Coppes.
Surviving are his son, Brooks (Erica) Egolf, Goshen; grandchildren, Kaicee, Breck, Taylor and Beckett Egolf; mother, Dalores Egolf, Bremen; sisters, Beverly London, Pam Donaldson and Pat Egolf, all of Nappanee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Egolf; and father, Martin Egolf.
Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 6, followed by a 7 p.m. memorial service with Military Rites at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Pastor Megan Long, of New Paris First Brethren Church, will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be given to Elkhart Hospice House.
