PIERCETON – The Whitko Art Museum and Galleries and Fine Arts Center’s grand opening will be held Saturday, Aug. 1.

The new museum and galleries are at 130 N. First St., and will host its grand opening event featuring Whitley and Kosciusko County artists. Doors open at 10 a.m. Saturday and will remain open until early evening.

The facility will have educational opportunities for all ages. Novice to advance classes for early childhood, youth, and adult groups. private lessons, classes, and workshops.

The facility will also include instruction, resources and studios for:

• Drawing
• Painting
• Printmaking
• Sculpture
• Collage
• Mixed Media
• Photography
• Ceramics
• And More!

Adult open studio’s, life studies, and Instruction will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

All ages classes, ceramics, and other choice media centers will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m Mondays and Wednesdays.

The gallery and sales are open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
