NORTH WEBSTER — The Watershed Foundation hosted the second annual “Dance Through the Decades” at Tippy Dance Hall Saturday night, July 25, providing guests with a nostalgic night out dancing under the stars on the shores of Lake Tippecanoe.
Although ticket sales were limited due to current restrictions, the sold-out event raised more than $30,000. All proceeds will fund TWF projects to keep local lakes clean and healthy.
Guests were invited to “come as you were,” with many fantastic costumes from past decades represented. Live music from the Reggie Sullivan Band kept the energy high with sets of oldies favorites and current hits.
A selection of fresh appetizers and a traditional Shrimp Boil dinner was catered by Chubbies, who also provided bar and table service.
“Thank you to the organizing committee and the caterers, who worked extra hard to ensure this was a safe and socially distanced event,” said TWF Executive Director Lyn Crighton. “The success of this fundraiser was a result of many months planning and great group of volunteers. Thankfully we were able to have a great night with wonderful food and live music in a safe environment!”
Marquee sponsors for the event were Main Channel Marina, Ryan Drake of Edward Jones, Coldwell Banker Deb Paton Showley Group, and Barbee Lakes Property Owners Association.
