New Pastor Brings Passion For Intercultural Missions To Warsaw

WARSAW — St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Warsaw (Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod) has welcomed the Reverend Gino Marchetti II as its newly installed pastor during a special ordination and installation ceremony held Saturday, June 27, at Creighton’s “The Roost” event center.
The ceremony was presided over by Indiana synod district president Rev. Dr. Daniel Brege and attended by various synod dignitaries congregants, family and friends from across the country.
Reverend Marchetti holds a Masters’ of Divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne and a BA in Latin, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota.
Reverend Marchetti is fluent in Spanish and has a strong enthusiasm for missions and intercultural ministries, which will serve him well in the area.
“I value the traditional teaching of the confessing Lutheran Church as a true, biblical exposition of the catholic faith,” said Reverend Marchetti. “My hope is to work alongside the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, of which I am a member, to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to rightly administer his sacraments so that all might be saved by his grace.”

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Warsaw meets at 9 a.m. Sundays at the Roost Event Center at Creighton’s Crazy Egg Café, 4217 W. Old Road 30, Warsaw. The public is invited to attend and meet Rev. Marchetti in person any Sunday.
