Karen White — UPDATED
Karen White, 70, Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 20, 2020, in Fort Wayne’s Lutheran Hospital.
Karen was born on Feb. 12, 1950, in Wabash. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd D and Roselyn L (Shafer) Benner. She was a 1968 graduate of Wabash High School and was a real estate broker, licensed in Indiana, South Carolina, and Texas.
Karen had an eye for interior decorating and impeccable taste. Her home was always beautifully decorated for each holiday and season and she enjoyed entertaining. She also enjoyed antique shopping and was a lover of flowers. Full of life and occasionally ornery, Karen loved her family deeply and was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
On Sept. 23, 1989, Karen was united in marriage to Richard “Rich” White – Rich survives in Warsaw. Also surviving are two sons, Nicholas Rife (wife, Aubrey) of Warsaw and Matthew Rife of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren: Jessica Hull (husband, Ty) of Larwill, Amanda Edwards (husband, Austin) of Austin, Texas, Michelle “Mimi” Rife of Austin, Doug Rife of Austin, Kennedy Miller (husband, Jeffrey) of Amboy, Kylee Rife of Warsaw and Kaden Rife of Warsaw and two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Elise.
Friends may join family for a Life Celebration® on Friday, July 24, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street in Warsaw. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. At noon, Pastor Mike Beezley will officiate Karen’s Life Celebration Service. Burial will follow with a committal in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
