Lois L. Murray-Ulerick
Lois L. Murray-Ulerick, 87, Rochester, passed away at 1:30 a.m., Monday July 20, 2020, at Life Care Center of Rochester.
She was born on Feb. 7, 1933, in Rochester
, the daughter of Emmett and Lenora (Smith) Frasa. On April 27, 1956, at Bruce Lake, Indiana, she married Ronald L. Murray. He preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1976. On March 28, 1995 she married Robert Ulerick and he preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2013.
Lois had worked with her husband, Ronald, at Murray’s Radiator and Garage as well as working at the Culver Exchange Bank and Farmers’ and Merchant Bank. Later she had worked for Rochester Metal Products, Wilson’s Feed & Grain before she was elected to serve as Fulton County Recorder. After serving as County Recorder, she served as Registrar with the Fulton County Health Department until her retirement.
Lois had been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she served on the church finance board, the Moose and Eagles Lodges, Fulton County Historical Society, volunteer with R.S.V.P. and was an active member of the Fulton County Democrat Party. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling and was an avid euchre player.
Survivors include her children, Karen Sumpter and fiance’ Michael Ogle, Rochester, Rhonda and husband Tim Richter, Charlotte, N.C., Joe and wife Jackie Murray, Rochester, step-children, Bobby and wife Allee Ulerick, Rochester, Theresa and husband Nate Kimmel, Rochester, Brian Ulerick, Florida, grandchildren, Dexter (Heather) Sumpter, Goliad, Texas, Arica (Jim) Moser, Fishers, Carlynn Richter, Charlotte, N.C., Christina Mast, South Bend, Michael Harris, St. Louis, Mo., Katie (Jonathan) Glasgow, Bedford, step-grandchildren, Mitchell Ulerick, Connor Ulerick, and Kasi Balanow, all of Rochester, Kyle (Kira) Kimmel, Indianapolis, Allie Ulerick, Hamlet, five great grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dorothy Krohn and brother, Norman Frasa.
Private funeral services and visitation will take place at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Historical Society or to Trinity United Methodist Church
