Beverley Jean Garber
Beverley Jean Garber of Grace Village Retirement Community of Winona Lake, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Grace Village Health Care in Winona Lake, at the age of 94.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1926 in Modesta, Calif. to Bertha and John Wooley. On Oct. 18, 1946, she was married to Reverend Martin Murray Garber. They shared 71 years of marriage together before he passed away on Aug. 1, 2018.
Beverley had been a resident of Kosciusko County, for the past 30 years, moving to Winona Lake, in the early 90’s to retire. She and her husband, Reverend Martin, spent their lives serving the Lord as Missionaries in the Central African Republic for 40 years where she taught the native women and children. She was a past member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church and New Horizon Community Church in Winona Lake, and she had attended Oak Grove Community Church in Warsaw. Beverley was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many. She would most want to be remembered for her steadfast faith in her Savior Jesus Christ.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son: John (Kelly) Garber, Warsaw; two daughters: Joyce Garber, Pasadena, Calif.; Lynda Garber, Winona Lake; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Beverley’s life with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 17, and officiated by Pastor Doug Lemon. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
