David Ryan ‘Dave’ Kistler
David Ryan “Dave” Kistler, 52, Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at his home. He was born on Dec. 16, 1967, in Goshen to David L. “Lawrence” and Suzanne K. (Knepper) Kistler.
He was lifetime area resident, graduated in 1986 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse, and attended Huntington College in Huntington. He was married on March 9, 2019 to Amy K. Powers who survives. He was employed at Skyline Builders and formerly worked at Quine-Freeman in Warsaw for 25 years, Next Step Baseball in Warsaw, Freeman Builders in North Webster, Knepper Construction in Cromwell, and was a park manager for the C.C.A.C in Warsaw.
He coached baseball & softball for various local teams including the Indiana Sluggers 06 traveling team in Warsaw.
He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Hannah Kistler, Pierceton; son, Jordan (Rarchel) Kistler, Elkhart; mother, Suzanne Kistler, Syracuse; sister Angela (Adam) Wilson, Milford; brother, Brian Kistler, Milford; one niece and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Gill of the Mission Point Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell.
