Ronald L. Coplen, 78, formerly of Gilead and Akron, passed away at 9:20 a.m., Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center of Warsaw.
Ronnie was born on March 20, 1942, in Miami County, Indiana to the late Wayne D. and Vada I. (King) Coplen. He was raised working on the family farm west of Gilead.
He had worked for South End Motors of Akron and Kerlin Ford of Silver Lake, where he retired.
Survivors include a sister Judy Kay Harvey of Warsaw; a brother Larry K. Coplen of Syracuse; and a niece Pamela Harvey and nephew Douglas and wife Lisa Harvey. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. Burial will follow in the Gilead Cemetery. For the health of all in attendance we encourage the public to wear masks.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
