Wanda M. Mikel
Wanda M. Mikel, 71, rural Etna Green, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, July 5, 2020, at her residence after a three year battle with cancer.
Wanda was born on July 21, 1948 in Rochester, to Delbert A. and Deloris (Sarber) Senff. She married on Aug. 24, 1969, in Napannee, to David L. Mikel, he survives.
Wanda had been a teller and bookkeeper for Farmers State Bank of Mentone as well as a homemaker.
She was a 1966 graduate of Triton High School. She was a member of Tippecanoe Primitive Baptist Church of Bourbon. She always enjoyed being involved in activities with her family.
She is survived by her husband; her mother; her daughters: Tracy (Jeff) Zimmerman, St. Jacob, Ill.; April (Jeremy) McClung, Huntsville, Ontario, Canada; sons: Rick (Heather) Mikel, Etna Green; Spencer (Stacy) Mikel, Mentone; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Barbara (Kent) Farrer, Bremen; Bonnie (Roger) Jeffers, Bourbon; brothers, Jerry (Brenda) Senff, Bourbon; Rex (Brenda) Senff, Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her father, granddaughter, Nicole Mikel; four infant grandchildren and a sister, Joyce Clevenger.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 9, at King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, with Elder Danny Wisner and Elder Tommy Sarber officiating. The interment will follow the service in the Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green, Indiana. Following all social distancing guidelines, masks are encouraged.
Visitation hours will be 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
