Tiger Baseball Sets Up Summer Camp
WARSAW – The lack of a spring baseball season didn’t derail the hopes of the Warsaw Community High School baseball program. The Tigers are preparing for its annual baseball summer camp set to run from August 4-6.
The camp is intended for incoming third through eighth graders and is build around the principles of hitting, fielding and baserunning. Sessions, which run from 6-8 p.m. each day, will be conducted by the WCHS baseball coaching staff with the assistance of current high school players.
Cost is $60 per camper which covers all three days and also guarantees a camp T-shirt, daily instruction and wiffle ball games.
Players are asked to wear baseball pants, shorts or sweats, a T-shirt, hat and baseball cleats. Coaches are asking players to bring a bat, batting gloves, batting helmet, fielding glove and their own water.
The camp will take place at the WCHS varsity baseball field each day.
