Lannie D. Stecher
Lannie D. Stecher, 67, Nappanee, died at 10:45 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Goshen Hospital. He had been in ill health since December. He was born July 21, 1952 in Hopkinsville, Ky. to Harold and Beatrice (Assbury) Stecher.
Mr. Stecher’s first marriage was to Jill Sluder. She preceded him in death in 2007. He married Susan Napier Jan. 9, 2010 and they moved to Nappanee in 2012.
Mr. Stecher was a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center. He had pastored for 18 years in Martinsville. Lannie enjoyed golfing, Nascar racing, IU basketball, New York Yankees, and Bob Seger music. Lannie was very people oriented. He enjoyed festivals and watching Westerns on TV.
Surviving is his wife, Susan; son, Joshua Stecher; daughter Misti Miller, both of Martinsville; step children, Rebecca Stotler, Plymouth, Philip Stotler, Michigan City, Paula (Kyle) Hochstetler, South Bend, Amanda Cellabos, Nappanee; granddaughter, McKenzie Miller, numerous other grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Joanna (Billy) Hruska, Texas; and brother Dean (Kim) Stecher, Martinsville. He was preceded in death by his son Christopher Stecher in 2012.
Family and friends may call from 2-5, Sunday, July 12, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, followed by Memorial Services at 5 pm. Pastor Marc Miller, Church of Heartland, Bourbon will officiate.
