Horizon Bank Donates to Milford Food Bank During Pandemic
MILFORD – To support those affected by COVID-19, Horizon Bank has donated $1,000 to the Milford Food Bank to help provide food for families in the local community.
“We are so very thankful that Horizon donated to our causes during this time. This will help us keep up with the need in our community during this pandemic,” explained Alvin Haab.
“We appreciate the outstanding efforts of the Milford Food Bank. They are distributing food items to families in need in Kosciusko County and the area as well as southern Michigan. We encourage other corporate citizens in our community to consider giving to the Food Bank to support those affected the most by COVID-19,” stated Mitchell Goon, Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer.
Milford Food Bank serves food pantries throughout northern Indiana and southern Michigan. They collect and/or purchase food in bulk and redistribute it to local food pantries. Their mission is simply to provide food to those in our community who are food insecure through partnerships with food pantries local communities.
Horizon Bank has pledged $250,000 in aid for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds are being allocated across several not-for-profit groups who are working to assist affected individuals in the communities we serve in the States of Indiana and Michigan.
