Press Release
ATWOOD — Three people were injured and taken to area hospitals after a single-vehicle accident north of Atwood on Sunday night.
At 11:50 p.m. Sunday, June 14, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Atwood Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle accident on West CR 600N, west of North CR 625W, Atwood.
A 2002 white Toyota Tundra, operated by Natasha A. Brunner, 30, Syracuse, was traveling west on CR 600N at an excessive rate of speed. Brunner was extricated from the vehicle by Atwood Fire Department personnel. Brunner’s front seat passenger, Codi Stout, 31, Mentone, was ejected from the Tundra during the collision.
Brunner suffered lower leg injuries and Stout complained of shoulder pain. Air ambulances were contacted and took Brunner and Stout to Fort Wayne hospitals. A second passenger, Brayden Brunner, 9, Mentone, complained of neck pain and was taken by ground ambulance to Fort Wayne.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor and the investigation is ongoing.

Damages are estimated at up to $50,000.
